Tangent - Motor Insurance
About Tangent
Please Note: Tangent seem to have ceased trading.
Established in 1974, Tangent has a comprehensive network of offices in Hertfordshire, Middlesex and North London.
As a registered insurance broker specialising in motor and household risks (in particular non-standard motor), careful attention is always given to ensure the cover requested is the cover required and at a competitive rate.
A sophisticated computer system is available to match your particulars to the cover required, but this is only part of the story ....
With experienced staff available to assess the risk and quote a rate on behalf of a panel of Insurance Companies and Lloyd's Syndicates, you are certain of a cost-effective quote for the cover you need.
Most People Hate Filling in Forms Unfortunatley it is the best way of making sure that the information you want to give Tangent is understood. The best time to fill in a form is probably in the quiet of your own home.
Tangent suggest you fill in one of their online Tangent quotation forms or simply print them out, complete them by hand and post them back to Tangent.
A simple alternative is to use them as a guide to the questions you are likely to be asked when ringing Tangent . Why not keep them handy with your insurance documents by the phone?
Payment of premiums can be spread by instalments if required, Tangent can even set up a standing order that gives you control of the payments.
Credit and debit cards are accepted as well as cheques and cash (please do not send cash by post).
Tangent Motor Insurance Clinic
Welcome to THE TANGENT INSURANCE CLINIC a new INTERNET service designed to clarify some of the gibberish used by the Insurance fraternity and provide a bit of potted insurance history.
Frequently asked questions are not exclusive to the "net" as most people have for years been asking "what does that mean?" every time they take out an insurance policy.
Indeed "to take out a policy" begs the question "why?". Surely you can take out the dog, the husband or the wife but, not a policy. Only very sad people take their policies to the park or for a meal&&or do they?
Perhaps they have to take their policies with them, because they are scared that the gibbering small print means they would be negligent by leaving them at home!
Be that as it may, Tangent will try to answer some FAQ's and from time to time seek your questions and run a few competitions.
Please E-Mail Tangent - but be patient as they have to make a living as well as play with Tangent's computers.
