Dial Direct was launched in June 1995 as a joint venture between Coventry based brokers G F Bennett & Co and NIG plc, one of the UK's leading insurance companies founded more than 100 years ago. Originally established to provide a fresh customer focused service in a heavily saturated car insurance market, Dial Direct now provides a full range of products including bike, home, travel and commercial vehicle insurance.

With this you get third party only cover whilst driving a car not belonging to you providing you have the owners permission (subject to certain critera).
Instalment Scheme
Pay monthly rather than in one lump sum.
24 Hour Windscreen
Benefit from 24 hour windscreen and glass repair free phone hotline. Comprehensive policies include the full cost of any repairs although you would have to pay the first £50 if the glass has to be replaced. If the glass has to be repaired there is nothing to pay.
Repairer Network
For customers with Comprehensive policies, Dial Direct have the nationwide network of the approved repairers who will immediately authorise accident repairs (guaranteed for 12months) without the need to arrange estimates. They will settle the garage bill, apart from agreed excesses*, direct. This service is available to the Third Party Only and Third Party Fire & Theft customers for a small fee.
* Excesses refer to the money that you the customer need to pay upfront.
Free Courtesy Car
If you have an accident and your car is repaired by one of Dial Direct's approved repairers, they'll keep you on the road with a free loan car, until the work is completed (subject to availability)
24 Hour Emergency Helpline
When you need help or advice following an accident, breakdown or other roadside emergency, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Dial Direct will give you the advice you need and arrange for help to arrive quickly and efficiently. Whilst the advice given by the helpline is free, charges may be made for any further services provided.
24 Hour Claims Line
Whenever you need to make a claim, their Claims Service is waiting for your call. No lengthy forms to fill out, just leave it to Dial Direct to take down your details and then send you the claim form to check and sign.
Getting You Home
If you, your family or pasengers are stranded as a result of an accident, Dial Direct will provide accommodation in a hotel (£50 maximum per person) or pay the cost of transporting you to your home or your onward destination, up to a limit of £250.
Audio & Phone Equipment Cover
For Comprehensive policies Dial Direct will insure audio and phone equipment, permanently fitted as standard by the manufacturer, up to it's full replacement cost against theft and damage. If not fitted as standard cover is limited to a maximum of £500. Cover for Third Party Fire & Theft policies is limited to £250, and not applicable to Third Party Only policies.
