The firm was established in 1946 by Frank Hughes who built the business on personal customer care.
The new name, The Insurance Line, was introduced in 1995 to reflect the change in the modern distribution of their products, the telephone and now the internet.
In 2001 The Insurance Line are now a telnet broker.
