Onecall accident repair service
For comprehensve policyholders and accidents in the UK.
- If the car cannot be driven following an accident, Fortis Insurance can arrange to get you and your passengers home or to your planned destination. If you are unable to complete your journey, they will pay for overnight accomodation up to £50 per person (maixmum £250).
- Fortis Insurance can pass on messages to friends, family or colleagues.
- If the car can be repaired, Fortis Insurance will arrange for one of their approved repairers to contact you to arrange to collect the car.
- You do not need to get any estimates, and repairs can begin immediately.
- To keep you mobile, Fortis Insurance will provide a small car with a manual gear box (for example, a Citroen AX or similar), free of charge, for the time your car is being repaired.

When the work is done, their repairer will clean your car and contact you to arrange a convenient time to deliver the car back to you. Fortis Insurance will settle the bill for the repairs.
All you need to do is pay any policy excess directly to Fortis Insurance's repairer.
Broken windscreens and windows
Repairing a windscreen or window instead of replacing it can save you paying your policy excess. The drawings on their web site may help you recognise whether or not the break can be repaired.
The £1 coin rule.
Breaks the size of a £1 coin can generally be repaired. Cracks up to two inches (five centimetres) can also be repaired
