Do I have to re-input information when I want another quote?
No, your quotes are stored in your Online Desktop at the Dixons Insurance web site and you can return to them at any time, effect changes if you want and obtain a re-quote. Partially completed quotes are also stored in 'Motor Quotes' and can be returned to at any time.
When information is automatically input do I have to check it?

How do I access earlier quotes?
In your Online Desktop you will find an icon labelled 'Motor Quotes'. All the quotes that you have done are stored there identified by manufacturer or registration number and date.
What is my Online Desktop?
Your Online Desktop is a feature unique to Quote and Buy on the Dixons Insurance web pages where all of your insurance documents are stored. The Desktop is an electronic online filing cabinet personalised to you and can only be accessed by password.

Do I have to send proof of a No Claims Bonus?
Generally no, but insurers have the right to ask you to send proof of No Claims Bonus - you must provide it if requested. From time to time Quote and Buy will be making requests for proof of a no claims bonus on behalf of insurers.

You require a password to protect the confidentiality of your documents and to prevent any third party from accessing your policies. You do not need a password if you are just seeking information that is contained within the Dixons Insurance web site.

Your quotes are stored in your Online Desktop under 'Motor Quotes'.
How long are quotes stored for?
Insurance can be bought on the day that the quote is generated for an inception date up to 30 days in advance. Quotes generated will be valid until such a time as the insurers amend their rating either up or down which typically is on a monthly basis.
What if I am buying a new car?
If you are buying a new car then using Quote and Buy's system on the Dixons Insurance web page is very easy for you to find out what premiums will be charged by insurers. You do not need a registration number to get a quote. Choose the car from the 'Car Finder' on the site. Proceed with the quote, review the details if you like, 'Save and Exit' and it will be saved automatically in your Online Desktop within 'Motor Quotes'. You can repeat this exercise just changing the car details as many times as you like.
What if I don't have a registration number?
You can obtain quotes for cars without having a registration number. They will be saved in your Online Desktop on the Dixons Insurance web pages referenced by the manufacturer and date you have obtained the quote. You can seek re-quotes at any time on your previously entered data. If you purchase insurance on any of these quotes the 'Quote Wizard' will require you to input the car's registration number before continuing with the process.
